Milwaukee Bucks’ Damian Lillard shone brightest with a 39-point performance in the East’s 211-186 win over the West, earning him the 2024 NBA All-Star Game MVP award.

The 2024 NBA All-Star Game was filled with standout performances, but Milwaukee Bucks point guard Damian Lillard had the most dominant showing, earning MVP honors on the night.

Lillard poured in 39 points for the winning Eastern Conference squad while enrapturing the crowd at Lucas Oil Stadium with two patented half-court shots.

“Logo Lillard” as he’s known when he can’t miss from deep, delivered a masterpiece and was the star of stars on the night, winning his first career Kobe Bryant All-Star game MVP trophy, but the game had many big performances as well.

Lillard won over Tyrese Haliburton & Karl-Anthony Towns

Lillard’s impact on the game was felt from the first quarter onward. He fed off of early momentum created by Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton and was able to find the bottom of the net from outside 11 times, as the NBA shared on X.

The eight-time All-Star got the nod over Haliburton, who kicked off the game with five conseutive three-pointers early. Haliburton’s 32 points impressed, but were not enough to gift him with the MVP award.

Minnesota Timberwolves big man Karl-Anthony Towns took the West’s offense into his own hand in several stretches off the bench, leading all scorers with 50 points. Though he crossed the esteemed 50-point barrier, he too fell short of MVP honors in favor of Lillard.

Now, Lillard will walk away from All-Star Weekend with the Starry 3-Point Contest crown as well as the All-Star Game MVP in his most prolific Weekend to date.
