Knicks trade for Bogdnovic and Burks draws massive praise from fans

The New York Knicks have added two pieces to their championship puzzle while giving fans exactly what they’ve been longing for at the NBA trade deadline.
The Knicks managed to snag Bojan Bogdanovic and Alec Burks from the Detroit Pistons in exchange for a package including Quentin Grimes and three future second-round picks.
All season long, Knicks faithful have pressured the front office on all sides to re-tool the roster. The Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics made groundbreaking moves in the offseason which appeared to distance themselves from the Knicks as championship contenders. Now, that tide has turned.
Knicks fans celebrate after another successful trade
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski shared the trade on X, which sent Bogdanovic and Burks, who are among the legue leaders in three-point percentage, to New York. This should help expand the Knicks’ currently-limited offense.
Even more exciting for Knicks fans, the team finally got the remaining $37 million of Evan Fournier’s massive contract off of their books, fulfilling both parties’ desire to part ways.
It seems as though Knicks president Leon Rose struck gold as hyped Knicks fans have flocked to social media to beat their chests following the impact move.
The storied franchise’s supporters are known to create a frenzy over any positive steps the team makes, but they have a valid reason to be enthused after today’s home run.
As ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins sees it, the Knicks are no longer in the middle ground, but established as true threats out East as he boldly said on NBA Today:
While the trade window isn’t officially closed, the Knicks appear to have made all of their moves in preparation for a surge after the All-Star break. Knicks fans will sleep easy tonight knowing that their new-look roster is ready to take their offense to new levels.
