NFL Pro Bowl: Manning brothers engage in heated battle while Peyton’s son says the game was rigged

The NFL played its annual flag football Pro Bowl game with Peyton and Eli Manning serving as the head coaches. A back-and-forth battle resulted in considerable trash talk from the Manning family, with Peyton’s son, Marshall, even getting involved.

The Manning brothers squared off as head coaches at the NFL Pro Bowl for a second straight season. Peyton spearheaded the AFC, while Eli led the NFC unit.

After the NFC won a tight contest last year, the conference followed it up with yet another close victory, this time coming down to the game’s final play.

During the final drive, as the AFC drove down the field with a five-point deficit, you could hear both head coaches making their presence felt.

On fourth and goal, with mere seconds remaining on the clock, Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud tried and failed to complete a game-winning pass to his receiver in the end zone. A defender broke up the throw and sealed the win for the NFC side.

Eli wins “Manning Bowl”, Peyton’s son blames refs

A distraught Peyton Manning fell to his knees on the sideline, appearing as devastated as he was during any loss in his professional playing career.

On the other hand, Eli threw both hands in the air and had a cheeky smile that spanned from ear to ear.

As the two brothers met for a midfield handshake, Peyton’s son, Marshall, had some trash talk of his own to throw at his uncle.

“You know the refs won the game… it’s scripted,” Marshall said to Eli as the two laughed after the matchup.

The Super Bowl last year pitted Travis and Jason Kelce against each other, showing how competitive a sibling rivalry can be. The Mannings further proved that with their passionate performances at the NFL Pro Bowl.

Each brother has two Super Bowl rings under their belts, but for at least the next 12 months, the youngest sibling will retain all the bragging rights.

Fans are hoping the duo returns in 2025, as the new and improved Pro Bowl weekend has garnered more interest with the Manning’s at the helm.
