NHL 25: Pre-order bonus & edition differences

NHL 25 players will get varying bonuses upon starting out, depending on the pre-order version.

On August 22, EA Sports unveiled what’s to come with NHL 25. Among the new advertised features include new animations, overhauled vision control, and current-gen exclusivity. Meaning, the game will only be available for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The same day, NHL 25 was made available for pre-order. Hockey fans can pre-order either a physical or digital edition, but be mindful there are several different versions.

Here’s a look at both, plus the pre-order bonuses.

NHL 25 pre-order bonuses

There are two different editions of NHL 25: the Standard and Deluxe versions. Here’s a look at the pre-order bonuses with each:

Standard Edition

• 500 NHL Points
• HUT NHL Player Pack
• WOC Battle Pass XP Boost (x2)
• Immediate Reward In NHL 24 (Choice of Jack, Quinn, or Luke Hughes at 99 OVR)

Hockey fans will get rewards for Hockey Ultimate Team and World of CHEL. Additionally, 500 Points are awarded for pre-ordering NHL 25.

There’s also a reward for a 99 OVR card, but that is for NHL 24 owners. Individuals will get a 99 OVR choice reward for HUT 24, of either Jack, Quinn, or Luke Hughes.

We should note that this version doesn’t have all three Hughes brothers on the cover. Instead, either Jack or Quinn will be on the cover, depending on region. Jack is on the U.S. edition, while Quinn is on the Canadian/rest of the world version. All three brothers are on the Deluxe editions.

The Standard Edition costs 69.99 USD/89.99 CAD/52.72 GBP/62.11 EUR.

We should note that those who pre-order the NHL 25 Deluxe Edition by September 13 will receive an 84 OVR Choice pack. HUT players can choose to get one of the three Hughes brothers.

The Deluxe version comes with significantly more rewards for Hockey Ultimate Team, including multiple high-overall cards, at least for the start of the lifecyle. Additionally, 4,600 NHL Points comes with the Deluxe Edition.

The Deluxe Edition costs 99.99 USD. However, those who have EA Play can purchase the Standard or Deluxe version and save 10%.
