Overwatch players makes awesome D.Va Star Wars game in the Workshop

One creative Overwatch player has made a new mode in Overwatch’s Workshop mode that lets players dogfight with D.Va in the depths of space.

Overwatch’s new Workshop mode came out on April 24 and players have put out an almost constant stream of awesome original content since then.

Fans have messed around with third-person mode, given Widowmaker tech from Rainbow 6 Siege and even made a volleyball game, to name just a few.

Now a player named Excors has come up with a new all-D.Va mode that has MEKAs battling it out in space.

The new Workshop mode is reminiscent of D.Va’s Shooting Star Animated short.

Use the Force D.Va

Excor’s mode is set high above Horizon Lunar Colony with plenty of stars added to make it look like a scene straight out of Star Wars.

A bunch of D.Va’s zooming around firing their cannons and missiles makes the gif resemble something more like a dogfight level from Star Wars: Battlefront 2 (2005) than it does anything from Overwatch.

When D.Va is taken out of her MEKA she’s eliminated, obviously because Baby D.Va can’t survive the cold vacuum of space.

One user suggested that instead of D.Va’s default cannons, the mech’s could shoot dual Mercy or Baby D.Va lasers, to add to the feeling of being a starship battle.

For players who want to try out Excor’s D.Va Spaceship Simulator the code is: W2ZMG.

More D.Va magic in the Workshop?

The star fighter mode isn’t the only Workshop creation to feature everyone’s favorite K-Pop star, another unknown user created a mode called “D.Va Sumo Wrestling” that’s exactly how it sounds.

Overwatch YouTuber Stylosa tried out the mode from an unknown user, which looks like a ton of fun for D.Va mains, along with a few other Workshop creations in a recent video.

For players who want to try out D.va Sumo Wrestling the code is: 6ZBX5.

The new Workshop mode has already brought us a ton of awesome new original Overwatch content and it doesn’t look like it’s slowing down anytime soon.

In other D.Va news, Overwatch Director Jeff Kaplan recently teased a new D.Va skin coming for the Anniversary Event that he says will “break the internet.”
