Overwatch reveals terrifying new Moira Halloween skin

Bill Cooney

The Halloween Terror event starts on October 9, but Overwatch is already getting fans excited – this time with a bone-chilling new legendary Moira skin.

This new Halloween skin is called “Banshee” which is appropriate because banshee’s are female spirits in Irish mythology who herald the death of a loved one, and Moira is Irish (her last name is O’Deorain if you need anymore proof).

Banshee is an awesome skin, it’s covered in spikes and celtic markings that make it look like Moira came straight from some Irish graveyard or faerie mound to terrorize Overwatch.

The work done on Moira’s face for this skin really sells it though, with markings on her chin, a wrinkled face, and flowing hair that would make David Bowie proud.

Her back apparatus has gotten a neat celtic design and it looks like Moira is wearing a nightgown – necessary for any true ghost/spirit to get serious scaring done.

Fans are happy to see Moira get a Halloween skin this year, she was introduced at BlizzCon in 2017 so she missed out on last year’s Halloween Terror Event, which ended at the beginning of November.

Heroes like Moira and Doomfist that don’t already have spooky skins seem to getting the treatment so far, but there’s still a few days left for the Overwatch team to tease new skins for the Halloween Terror event, which officially kicks off on October 9.
