Toronto Defiant announce Overwatch League veterans as first recruits

The first two players for the new team are flex tank Lee ‘Envy’ Kang-jae and support Park ‘Neko’ Se-hyeon.
Both players competed in Season One of the Overwatch League, immediately adding some veteran presence and OWL experience to the all-new squad.
Envy competed for the Los Angeles Valiant for the first half of the season, before parting ways with the team and joining Meta Bellum, who finished 3-4
in Season Two of Contenders Korea.
Neko joins from Boston Uprising, with whom he played the entire first season. Boston’s accolades during Neko’s time with the team include a 10-0 Stage 3 record, second place in the Stage 3 playoffs, and third place in the overall regular season standings.
With the minimum roster size set to eight players for Season Two, Toronto will have at least six more players to announce ahead of the league starting on February 14.
Season Two of the Overwatch League will introduce eight new expansion teams, details of which are starting to emerge. Atlanta are the only new franchise to have announced both their branding and full roster, with Toronto the only other franchise to have revealed their team name.
Meanwhile, Paris have announced their full roster and Washington and Guangzhou have both revealed their first players. No details have yet been revealed for the Chengdu, Hangzhou, and Vancouver franchises.
