When does Overwatch Competitive Season 14 end?
Season 14 of Overwatch ranked play began on December 31, 2018 and based on previous seasons it should be wrapping up soon.
Overwatch Competitive play is divided up into seasons that usually last a couple of months. Every season players have to play 10 placement matches before they’re ranked, usually pretty close to where they were last season.
Overwatch’s current Competitive season should be over by the end of February, based on the length of previous seasons.
Overwatch Season 8 began on January 1, 2018 and ended on February 25, and when we look at the last few seasons, they each seemed to last two months, give or take a few days.
Based on this, we can make an estimated guess that Season 14 will end on February 27 or 28, just before the end of the month.
Season 14 began just two hours after Season 13 ended on December 31, 2018, so we could see Season 15 start up right after the end of the current competitive season.
Overwatch’s Lunar New Year event is also ending towards the end of February, on the 18th, the Monday after the first weekend of the Overwatch League.
OWL itself starts it’s second season on February 14, with all of that, and a new map called Paris on the PTR, February is shaping up to be a pretty good month for Overwatch.
If Season 14 does end on February 27 or 28, that means players only have a couple more weeks to try and climb the ladder.
