10. Blazehowl

The Blazehowl Pal from Palworld.
  • Element: Fire
  • Partner Skill: Hellflame Lion
  • Work Suitability: Lumbering Level 2 / Kindling Level 3

Both Blazehowl and Blazehowl Noct are arguably the best Lumbering Pals in Palworld with a Level 2 stat. This is because they also have Level 3 Kindling, an extremely useful support skill for smelting Ore quickly, letting you access higher-tier gear and upgrades.

You can find tons of Blazehowls around Mount Obsidion in Palworld, especially near the Eternal Pyre and Beach of Everlasting Summer fast travel points. As a Fire Pal, Blazehowl is weak to Water attacks so having a pal like Azurobe, Surfent, or Gobfin on your team is advised.

9. Cyrolinx

  • Element: Ice
  • Partner Skill:
  • Work Suitabilities: Handiwork Level 1 / Lumbering Level 2 / Cooling Level 3

Cryolinx is proficient in Lumbering with Level 2 skills but they can also help with Handiwork and Cooling. Whether it’s chopping down trees, building structures, or cooling your fridges to make your food last longer, this Ice pal is great to have working at your base.

You can find Cryolinx in dungeons across the Palworld map such as the Sacred Mountain Cavern in the Tundra Biome. A Fire Pal will be able to take down Cryolinx easily so a creature like Foxparks, Rooby, or Blazamut would be ideal.

8. Elphidran

A custom image of Elphidran in Palworld.
  • Element: Dragon
  • Partner Skill: Amicable Holy Dragon
  • Work Suitability: Lumbering Level 2

Elphidran is not only an excellent flying Mount in Palworld but it’s a great Pal to have for Lumbering duties at your base as it doesn’t have any other work suitabilities to get distracted by. This tough Dragon can solely concentrate on Lumbering resources for you.

Elphidran is located at the No. 1 Wildlife Sanctuary island on the southern edge of the map. You’ll need either a flying or swimming Mount to get there. As a Dragon Pal, Elphidran is weak to Dark attacks so we’d recommend bringing a Pal like Katress or Daedream with you.

7. Verdash

A custom image of Verdash in Palworld.
  • Element: Grass
  • Partner Skill: Grassland Speedster
  • Work Suitability: Lumbering Level 2 / Handiwork Level 3 / Gathering Level 3 / Planting Level 2 / Transporting Level 2

Verdash is the ultimate jack-of-all-trades option, with the Grass-type Pal not only being one of Palworld’s best Pals for Lumbering but also having top-tier Handiwork and Gathering. In addition, it also has solid Planting and Transporting skills, ensuring that there isn’t a Base out there where Verdash can’t be of use.

Verdash is located at the No. 2 Wildlife Sanctuary in Palword and is weak against Fire so if you’re on the hunt for Lumbering Pals, we’d recommend catching a Blazehowl first to bring with you when you take on Verdash.

6. Dinossom

  • Element: Grass/Dragon
  • Partner Skill: Fragrant Dragon
  • Work Suitability: Lumbering Level 2 / Planting Level 2

Dinossom, and its Electric variant Dinossom Lux can not only cut trees quickly but will also contribute to planting crops. This combination works well to keep your Pals well-fed while ensuring plenty of wood is being collected.

You can find Dinossom in a variety of areas in Palworld, including around the Plateau of Beginnings, Small Cove, and Eastern Wild Islands. Dinossom is weak to both Fire and Ice Pals so we’d recommend having a well-rounded team with Pals like Reptyro, and Penking to have the best advantage.

5. Reindrix

A custom image of Reindrix in Palworld.
  • Element: Ice
  • Partner Skill: Cool Body
  • Work Suitability: Lumbering Level 2 / Cooling Level 2

Reindrix is a great Ice Pal to have as they’re great in combat, can be ridden as a Mount, and are also brilliant for work duties. This powerful Pal has Level 2 skills for Lumbering and Cooling which means they can gather plenty of wood, and help keep your fridges cool.

You can find Reindrix on either Frostbound Mountain, a snowy area just north of Verdamt Brook, or near the Cold Shore fast travel point south of the map’s ice biome. Fire Pals are your best option when fighting a Reindrix.

4. Mossanda

  • Element: Grass
  • Partner Skill: Grenadier Panda
  • Work Suitability: Lumbering Level 2 / Planting Level 2 / Handiwork Level 2 / Transporting Level 3

Mossanda has a lot of versatility when it comes to work in Palworld. Not only does it have Level 2 Lumbering skills but it’s also proficient in Planting, Handiwork, and especially Transporting. This means Mossanda can easily gather resources for you and then move them into safe storage, making it an ideal Pal to have at your base.

Wild Mossanda can be caught from the Mossanda Forest in Palworld. Having a couple of Fire Pals in your team when you face Mossanda will give you an advantage in the fight.

3. Eikthyrdeer

an image of Eikthyrdeer in Palworld
  • Element: Neutral
  • Partner Skill: Guardian of the Forest
  • Work Suitability: Lumbering Level 2

Eikthyrdeer and its Ground variant, Eikthyrdeer Terra, can only perform Lumbering tasks. While this may seem like a bad thing, it makes Eikthyrdeer extremely consistent and perfect for placing on a Logging Site easily, making it one of the best Lumbering Pals in Palworld.

You can find Eikthyrdeer in a variety of locations across the Palworld map including the Sea Breeze Archipelago in the south, west of Verdant Brook and Sealed Realm of the Stalwart, or north of Cove Mineshaft. We’d advise bringing a Dark Pal like Mau or Bellanoir to the fight.

2. Bushi

Finding and catching a Bushi in Palworld
  • Element: Fire
  • Partner Skill: Brandish Blade
  • Work Suitability: Lumbering Level 3 / Transporting Level 2 / Kindling Level 2 / Handiwork Level 1 / Gathering Level 1

Bushi gains an edge over other Lumbering Pals thanks to its Lv2 Kindling. With how important Kindling is for processing Ore, you can never have too many Kindling Pals, and having one that also offers top-tier Lumbering skills is every Palworld player’s dream come true.

Bushi can be found on the No. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary island, which must be reached using a flying or swimming Pal. It’s weak to Water attacks so Pengullet and Relaxaurus are two solid options for this fight.

1. Wumpo

An image of Wumpo from Palworld
  • Element: Ice
  • Partner Skill: Guardian of the Snowy Mountain
  • Work Suitability: Lumbering Level 3 / Transporting Level 4 / Handiwork Level 2 / Cooling Level 2

Wumpo and its Grass-type variant, Wumpo Botan, are the best Lumbering Pals in Palworld. They have Lv3 Lumbering and Lv4 Transporting. This combination allows the Pal to transport the Wood and Fiber they gather.

Even better, regular Wumpo gets Lv2 Cooling, an extremely unique Work Suitability skill that can be hard to fill effectively without using up extra slots.

Wumpo may spawn as an Alpha Boss at the end of the Sacred Mountain Cavern Dungeons. You can also possibly hatch the Pal from a Large Frozen Egg or search for one in the game’s Tundra region. To make sure you’ve got the best chance to catch a Wupmo, make sure you’ve got Fire Pals on your side.

Those are all the best Pals for Lumbering in Palworld! If you’re looking for the best Pals for Mining, Transporting, or Handiwork, we’ve also got you covered with our dedicated guides
