A recent player-discovered glitch in Palworld has made for some amusing anecdotes — Pals can bug out and appear as if they’re a wild Pal working on base or stealing food.

Palworld’s runaway success was a surprise to everyone, and the game’s developers, Pocketpair, are no exception. The small studio has already asked for more hands-on deck publicly, in the form of a job advertisements on their social media accounts.

The small studio has done remarkably well keeping their early access game up and running and delivering patches quickly to fix irritating bugs, like the problems with Lifmunk effigies. But glitches and bugs still remain a regular part of Palworld play.

Players on Reddit were recently discussing one entertaining glitch which has Pals in the base bugging out and appearing “wild”.

Palworld Paldeck 26 Sparkit
A glitch in Palworld makes Pals appear wild, with players unable to interact with them.

When one player shared a video showing a “wild Sparkit” that had broken into their base “and started working,” others were quick to share information about the glitch.  As the player was unable to interact with the Pal at all, they assumed it had just wandered in and started work. However, it turned out, that wasn’t the case.

“Looks like a Sparkit in your box may have glitched out,” a fellow player explained. Another fan concurred, offering more details. “I think it has to do with quickly moving stuff between your base and box,” they said.

Another player shared their own experience with the bug. “I had a [Pyrin] glitch like this,” they said. They then explained the Pal refused to work but was always hungry. “He just constantly ate and never satiated his hunger! Damn thing emptied my food boxes overnight, was eating 1 item per second.”

According to the player, even after destroying and rebuilding the feed boxes, the Pal’s strange behavior persisted until they rebooted their server.

Still, players were more than happy to joke about the idea of wild Pals invading the base to work. “The Sparkits yearn for forced labor,” said one. “You gotta show initiative in this economy,” joked another.

Pocketpair is likely to address this bug in a future patch. But for now, players need to keep their eyes out for any Pals gone wild on their base.
