Does Palworld have anti-cheat? Devs respond to cheating on servers

Palworld has fast become one of the most popular games in the world, if not the most popular, but there’s one issue that many players have become frustrated with: cheaters. That begs the question, does Palworld have an anti-cheat.

Palworld’s rise to the top of the Steam charts and global status has been unprecedented, hitting over 2 million peak concurrent players at one point.

As with most games these days, though, there is a small minority who want to ruin the fun for others and use hacking software to get ahead.

As a result, many have asked whether the game even has an anti-cheat and, if so, how effective actually is it? Here’s what we know.

Palworld anti-cheat

At the time of writing, it’s unclear whether Palworld has a dedicated anti-cheat, though that doesn’t mean that they don’t have one, or aren’t working on one at least.

With PvP not yet in the game, an anti-cheat might not be quite as high-demand as it would be once PvP is introduced, which was confirmed to be happening in the game’s early access roadmap.

Palworld devs provide anti-cheat update

In a post on January 25, shortly prior to the new patch notes that fixed a number of bugs, the Palworld team provided an update on the cheating and anti-cheat situation.

“Currently, some players have been confirmed to be cheating on the official server,” they said. “We will apply a patch as soon as it is ready, but it is currently difficult to completely prevent all cheating immediately.

“We will continue to focus even more on security and aim to create an environment where everyone can play with peace of mind.”

So there are definitely anti-cheat measures planned for the near future, but no date was provided. With how fast the game has blown up, though, they’ll certainly want to push something like this out sooner rather than later.
