The good news is, in terms of accessibility, Palworld also offers support for multiple languages. So, if you’re keen on playing the game in your preferred language aside from the default English language, it’s possible to do just that. Here’s how to change language in Palworld.
How to change language in Palworld for Steam
At the time of writing, it’s not possible to change the language directly in the game. Instead, if you’re playing the game from Steam, you’ll need to do it via the game’s Steam settings. To do that, follow the steps below:
- Launch Steam.
- Hover to the Library tab and select Collections.
- Right-click on Palworld.
- Select Properties.
- Head to the Language options under the General tab.
- Click on English (default language) and change it to your preferred language.
And just like that, your language in the game should be changed when you log back in. Feel free to repeat this process if you’d like to revert your change.
How to change language in Palworld for Xbox Game Pass
For Xbox Game Pass users playing on PC, the method to change language in Palworld is slightly different. You still need to change the language outside of the game, but it does require you to tweak one of the game’s files. Here’s how to do it:
- In your search bar, type Run and click on it.
- Next, type %localappdata% in the Run window and press OK.
- Locate the Pal folder in the list of folders.
- Once you’ve opened the Pal folder, navigate to Saved > Config > WinGDK.
- Right-click the Engine.ini file and select Open with Notepad.
- Scroll to the bottom and type [Internationalization] Culture=en
- Save and close the file.
Now, keep in mind that “en” in the code refers to the English language. So, if you’d like to change it, you’ll need to replace it with the correct code according to the language you want. Below is a list of all supported languages in Palworld, each with its respective code.
