How to play Palworld in VR

Want to play Palworld in VR? Thanks to some crafty modders, your adventure could become even more immersive than ever before.

Palworld has taken the gaming landscape by storm, with millions of players taking to the game on PC and Xbox. The monster-catching and crafting game is one of the most popular releases of 2024 thus far.

But, what if you want to play it in VR? Luckily, if you have a VR headset to hand, you might just be in luck. You can get yourself immersed in the monster-catching world thanks to modders who have made it possible. Just note that this is not going to be a native-level experience, but since Palworld has been developed using the Unreal Engine, it’s compatible with Praydog’s UEVR mod, which allows you to play Unreal Engine 4 and 5 games using your trusty headset.

Using the mod, you can expect 6DOF movement, full 3D, and an easy-to-use GUI. The mod supports both OpenVR and OpenXR, as well a having optional 3DOF motion controls. But, you might be more comfortable with a controller.

How to set up Palworld in VR

Pocket Pair

• Download Praydog’s UEVR mod on Github and extract it to a “UEVR” folder
• Ensure you have .NET 6.0 runtime installed (You can get it from here)
• Launch UEVRInjector.exe as administrator from the “UEVR” folder
• Connect your headset to your PC
• Launch Palworld on your PC
• Open the process list and Select Palworld
• Select OpenVR or OpenXR runtimes
• Download the Palworld UEVR profile (Use Win64 for Steam, and WinGDK for Game Pass)
• On the right-hand-side, select “Import Config” and select your desired .zip file for Palworld
• Press “Inject” on UEVR
• Reset your view in VR and configure your personal settings and performance target

From here, you should see a menu with settings for Palworld. We recommend you tinker around with what works best for your PC setup and settings from here, and to test them out in the game while you are playing it.

Remember, since this is a mod, not everything is going to work perfectly straight out of the box either, so you might need to make more tweaks, or head over to the Flat2VR Discord channel for further support.
