Palworld devs are aware of cheating issues and have planned to introduce several features to combat them.

After its early access launch on January 19, Palworld has managed to break some impressive records in terms of player count and sales.

While Pocketpair’s open-world survival game has been met with positive reviews on Steam, it’s no secret that cheaters have been plaguing the game since its release, ruining the experience of other players.

One player even spoke up about their experience, claiming that players in community servers often get their Pals stolen, Palbox destroyed, and even sent to the sky, among others.

Fortunately, Pocketpair has issued a statement regarding cheaters in public servers. On their Steam page, devs admitted they’re aware of “fraudulent activities” not letting players play the game properly.

They said: “As a company, we do not tolerate any fraudulent activity or cheating, and we are working on measures to deal with it strictly and as a priority.”

As a result, they’re planning to release a few features to help combat these. The first one is a player list function feature that will be added at the end of February. Though not specified, this seems like a feature that helps devs identify and track cheaters.

Besides the player list function feature, an “external anti-cheat solution” will also be introduced and made mandatory on official servers. As for single-player, co-op, and community servers, the anti-cheat solution will be optional.

Devs said they’ll continue to “take thorough measures against further cheating and fraudulent activities.” Though they apologize if they’re “not able to keep up.”

However, they assured players they’re working hard to “get everyone back to a state where they can enjoy the game comfortably and with peace of mind as soon as possible.”
