How do Passive Skills work?

Every Pal in Palworld can have up to four Passive Skills that add positive and negative effects in and out of combat or around your base. These special abilities can offer an attack or defense bonus, boost speed, increase type damage, or even expand the players’ inventory.

However, because these activate automatically, many players overlook them, but once you understand how to take advantage of those buffs or nerfs, they can be quite beneficial.

Can you change Passive Skills in Palworld?

No, you cannot change the Passive Skills a Pal has. But, you can use selective breeding to birth powerful Pals stacked with the Passive Skills you’re looking for, as they inherit some of these traits through the process.

Another way to find the Passive Skills you’re looking for in a Pal is to try your luck by catching plenty of them until you find the right one.

That’s all you need to know about Passive Skills in Palworld! If more get added to the game with the upcoming Sakurajima Update we’ll be sure to add them to this page. While you’re here, why not check out all the weapons in Palworld to ensure you’re ready for the major boss fights.
