Palworld roadmap

Palworld developers Pocket Pair have revealed their plans for the game’s future after its remarkable rise to gaming dominance, with a roadmap for early access, including PvP, Raid Bosses, crossplay and more.

Palworld shot to the top of gaming charts overnight, becoming the most viral and unexpected success since the Among Us days.

Often dubbed Pokemon with guns, the bizarre but addictive shooter has players from a variety of other games jumping over to try it out. As a result, sales have far exceeded the devs expectations, resulting in a renewed focus on what is next.

On January 24, Palworld’s official X account committed to writing their plans for the future of the game, and there’s a lot of exciting updates to look forward to.

Check out the full Palworld road map below from the developers.

The Future of Palworld

We would like to share with you our roadmap for Palworld.

Sales have far exceeded the development team’s expectations, and we are currently experiencing many problems due to excessive access congestion, among other challenges.

We will prioritize improving this issue first, and then move on to implementing new in-game features.
Thank you for your understanding.

  • Currently, numerous bugs have been identified, and we are prioritizing fixing those.
    • Sometimes, the world date may experience rollbacks.
    • The loading screen may persist when trying to load into worlds.
    • …and so on.
  • Improvements to Implement ASAP
    • Key configuration improvements.
    • Improvements to base Pal AI and pathing.
    • Planned Future Updates

Planned Future Updates

  • PvP
  • Raid Bosses (End-Game Content)
  • Pal Arena (PvP for Pals)
  • Steam-Xbox Crossplay
  • Various Xbox Feature Improvements
  • Server Transfers and Migrations
  • Improvements to the Building System
  • New islands, Pals, Bosses, and Technologies.

The developers haven’t yet put dates against any of these ‘future updates’, but points such as PC and Xbox crossplay will be one many players will hope is sooner rather than later.

Despite the game being far from complete, its popularity shows no signs of slowing down. Whether these updates will be enough to maintain its momentum remains to be seen.
