More creatures from the Paldea region are making their way into Pokemon Go to celebrate the Pokemon Horizons animated series. Check our guide to learn how to properly evolve Charcadet into Armarouge if you’re a Psychic-type fan, or Ceruledge if you prefer Ghost-types.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet introduced the Paldea region, which brought to the table some very cool-looking Pokemon to the franchise. These include Armarouge and Ceruledge, Charcadet‘s evolutions.

Now, to celebrate the Western debut of Pokemon Horizons: The Series, the cute Fire-type and its family are debuting in Pokemon Go with a special event that will take place from March 5, 2024, until March 11, 2024.

During this time, you’ll be able to get Charcadet from 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km Eggs. However, once the event is over, it will only hatch from 10 km Eggs, so you better get a ton of incubators and get hatching.

Like Eevee, Gloom, Applin, and many more, Charcadet has a branched evolution where you can pick between two options. So, if you prefer one over the other, here’s how to get exactly the one you’re looking for in the game.

How to evolve Charcadet into Armarouge

One of Charcadet’s evolutions is Armarouge, a dual Fire/Psychic-type Pokemon. While the main series titles use a special set of armor to evolve it, in Pokemon Go you need to follow the regular Candy route, though it has a twist.

To evolve Charcadet into Armarouge, you have to select the little creature as your buddy and fight 30 Psychic-type Pokemon. You don’t need to defeat these particular creatures using Charcadet, but you do need to have it as your buddy while doing so.

Once you’re done with the fights, you need the usual 50 Candies and trigger the evolution.

How to evolve Charcadet into Ceruledge

Charcadet’s other evolution is Ceruledge, a dual Fire/Ghost-type Pokemon. As with Armarouge, you need a special armor to evolve it in Scarlet & Violet, but things are different in Pokemon Go.

To get this Ghost evolution, you need to pick Charcadet as your buddy and fight 30 Ghost-type Pokemon. Again, you don’t need to defeat them using the little fella; you just need to have it as your walking buddy.

Once you’re done with the 30 encounters, you can use 50 Candies to trigger the evolution.

That’s everything you need about Charcadet and how to evolve it into Armarouge and Ceruledge in Pokemon Go. For more game content, check the guides below:
