The Unova Steel-type Klink is quite an elusive creature in Pokemon Go, so here’s a breakdown of how players can catch it in the game, plus how to evolve it and whether a Shiny version of it can be found.

Gen 5 brought with it several intriguing and strong Pokemon, such as Klink, the gear-lookalike creature with a solid defense stat.

Despite being available in Pokemon Go since 2019, finding the Steel-type Klink in the game is no easy task, so here’s how to get it, as well as how to evolve it and whether a Shiny version is available.

Klink was introduced into Pokemon Go alongside all of Gen 5 back in 2019. However, many players are still looking for this elusive Pokemon and its evolutions as they don’t spawn in the wild.

Right now, players can encounter Klink in the wild thanks to the Strength of Steel event, which runs from July 25 through July 30.

Players can also obtain Klink by defeating it in 1-Star Raid battles and capturing it with the Premier Balls given after the fight. As the Raid rotations happen randomly, you should take advantage of Klink appearing as a Raid boss to catch as many as you can.

Fortunately, Klink Raids are also more common right now because of the event.

Previously, players were able to find it in the wild during the Pokemon Go Fest 2022 (ticket only), by hatching it from 7 km and 10 km Eggs, and as a reward for completing Field Research Tasks like “Win 3 raids: Hidden Gems”.

Klink has two evolutions and they can only be obtained through the evolution method, so players must gather a ton of Candy to get the complete family.

To evolve Klink into Klang, you’ll have to feed it 25 Candy and to evolve Klang into its final stage, Klinklang, you’ll need another 100 Candy.

Players trying to fill their Pokedex should take advantage of Klink appearing as a Raid Boss to evolve it. Remember you can get more Candy by using Pinap Berries, by transferring the extra Klink to Professor Willow, or by setting the creature as your Buddy and going for a walk.

Yes, Klink can be Shiny in Pokemon Go, as this variation was added to the game the same day the Pokemon debuted.

Players shouldn’t have too much trouble identifying a Shiny Klink, as its turquoise center turns green and its body changes from silver to gold. However, the odds of actually finding one are extremely low.

Remember that because you can’t find Klang and Klinklang individually, you’ll have to evolve a Shiny Klink if you want a Shiny Klang or a Shiny Klinklang.
