How to get Nosepass in Pokemon Go and can it be Shiny?
NianticTrainers looking to catch the Gen 3 Rock-type Nosepass in Pokemon Go can find out everything they need to know in our guide.
Pokemon Go features creatures from across many different regions, from Gen 1’s Kanto to Gen 9’s Paldea. This includes the third Generation of Pokemon that first came in the Hoenn region.
Nosepass was released during the Ruby & Sapphire days of the franchise, and the Rock-type received a significant upgrade when Probopass, introduced in Gen 4, showed up to the scene.
But, how can Pokemon Go players get Nosepass in the first place? Here’s a look at how to do so, as well as whether a Shiny version of it has been released in Pokemon Go.
How to get Nosepass in Pokemon Go
Nosepass can be found in several different ways in the mobile game, including out in the wild, as well as Raids and/or Research rewards. The Rock-type Pokemon is not in the Egg pool as of July 2024.
Keep in mind that Nosepass may also appear more frequently during special events, including Spotlight Hours.
For example, the Pokemon Go Ultra Unlock: Strength of Steel event starting on July 25, 2024, will feature Nosepass as a spawn that may appear more often than usual.
How to evolve Nosepass into Probopass in Pokemon Go
Nosepass is one of the creatures in Pokemon Go that requires a special condition to evolve into Probopass.
Trainers will need to feed it 50 Nosepass Candy to evolve it, but you must also be under a Magnetic Lure Module before it can evolve into Probopass.
The Magnetic Lure Module condition is a reference to Nosepass’ evolution in the mainline series. In most games, and especially in Gen 4, Nosepass could only evolve into Probopass in special magnetic fields, like Mt. Coronet and Chargestone Cave.
Can Nosepass be Shiny in Pokemon Go?
Yes, Nosepass can be Shiny in Pokemon Go.
The Shiny version of Nosepass can be encountered out in the wild of the game, as well as its normal version. Shiny Nosepass is yellow in color instead of blue.
