Another series of Pokemon TCG releases are right around the corner, and TCG players are going wild as one new card has an amazing musical Easter Egg.

Pokemon TCG fans are generally spoiled when it comes to amazing art, as every new release like the upcoming Pokemon TCG: Paldean Fates set is littered with gorgeous new cards to please fans and drive sales.

However, while plenty of people chase after the most popular cards like a new Charizard of a Shiny Legendary, sometimes the more subtle cards have details that draw in the crowds.

That’s where this new card comes in, as an upcoming Pokemon TCG Chatot card has a hidden Easter Egg, and this musical detail is already conducting a cacophony of comments.

Pokemon TCG Chatot card hides the Pokemon’s cry in the art

As shared in a post on X (Twitter) by user @nepsubs, an upcoming Chatot card also has a gorgeous Full Art Illustrated variant. The artwork sees several Chatot sitting on washing lines, but their placement alongside the lines is very likely meant to donate musical notes.

In the original post @nepsubs adds the comment, “Fun fact: the first line of the new Chatot art rare may be a transposition of chatot’s in-game cry.”

Attached alongside the artwork is a quick video approximation of the musical notes, and how they would play. Fittingly, they do indeed seem to match the beginning of Chatot’s cry, which is a touching way to pay tribute to Chatot’s musical abilities.

That’s not all, however, as it seems the card also hints at something else. As the comment in the original post explains, “I believe the second line is also the jingle from when you heal your Pokemon at the Pokemon center.”

Pokemon TCG fans in the comments are loving the new card, with one person adding, “the level of detail they’ve put into these alt art rares are amazing.” Another comment adds, “That’s an amazing find.”

One eager TCG fan comments underneath the post saying, “Omg I want this card now! The band geek in me is in love with this Easter Egg!” Before another adds, “This has been moved from want status to need status.”

While it’s not certain this card will make its way to the West yet, you can snag yourself some upcoming Pokemon cards with our Where to buy Pokemon TCG: Temporal Forces Elite Trainer Box guide.
