Pokemon Go Anniversary Event 2022: Date & time, Shiny Zapdos, new costumes

Niantic has announced that it’s celebrating six years with the Pokemon Go Anniversary Event. Here’s everything we know about it, including the dates and time it’s taking place. 

As the Pokemon Go TCG Crossover event comes to a close, trainers may be wondering what event Niantic has under their sleeve.

The Pokemon Go Anniversary Event was announced on June 29, and it celebrates Niantic’s sixth year of Pokemon Go.

Pokemon Go Anniversary Event Date & Time

Niantic has confirmed that the event will run from Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 10:00 am to Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at 8:00 pm in the trainer’s local time.

The event will also feature avatar items and stickers to celebrate the game’s sixth anniversary.

Pokemon Go Anniversary Event debut Pokemon

Three new costumed Pokemon will make their debut during this event: Party Hat Charmelon, Party Hat Charizard, and Cake Costume Pikachu.

If you’re lucky, you may even find a shiny version of all three.

Pokemon Go Anniversary Event Wild Encounters

The Anniversary event brings yet another shakeup to Pokemon Go’s wild encounters.

Here are the ‘mon that will spawn during the event:
