Pokemon Go Beldum Community Day Classic: Start time, featured attack, bonuses

Pokemon Go players who want a Metagross will be in luck this August, thanks to the upcoming Beldum Community Day Classic event.

On August 7, Niantic officially confirmed Beldum would headline the next Community Day Classic for Pokemon Go after the developer teased it on social media.

The upcoming event, set for mid-August, will allow trainers to catch many Beldum. And, those who fully evolve a Beldum will receive a Metagross with the highly powerful Charged Move, Meteor Mash.

Beldum Community Day Classic dates & times

Pokemon Go’s Beldum Community Day Classic will occur on Sunday, August 18, 2024, from 2 PM to 5 PM local time.

During the event, Beldum will appear more frequently in the wild.

Metagross featured attack

During the event or up to two hours after, those who evolve a Metang will receive a Metagross with the Charged Attack Meteor Mash.

Meteor Mash has 100 power in trainer battles as well as Gym and Raid battles.

Beldum Community Day Classic bonuses

Players can benefit from the following bonuses during this Community Day Classic:

• 1/4 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event.
• Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
• Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
• Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise, per Niantic

Beldum-centric PokeStop Showcases will also appear during the Community Day Classic.

Beldum Community Day Classic Field Research

This Community Day Classic event will feature a Field Research challenge involving Beldum. Trainers can earn rewards like Stardust, Great Balls, and encounters with Beldum by completing tasks.

Special Research

Trainers can purchase a ticket for $1 or equivalent in their local currency in exchange for an exclusive Special Research quest. This Special Research does not need to be finished before a certain date and does not come with a special in-game medal.

Beldum Community Day Bundles

Much like with the Cyndaquil Community Day Classic, Niantic will also offer three special bundles during the event.

One is the Ultra Community Day Classic Box. This is only available on the Pokemon Go web store and costs $4.99 or the local equivalent. It includes the following:

• 10 Ultra Balls
• One Elite Charged TM
• One Special Research story ticket

The other two Event Bundles are special PokeCoin Boxes.

• 50 Ultra Balls
• Five Super Incubators
• One Elite Charged TM
• Five Lucky Eggs
