NianticNiantic has announced an electrifying Charged-Up Research Day for Pokemon Go. Here’s everything you need to know.
Pokemon Go‘s next season, World of Wonders, is starting soon, and as part of the event Niantic is holding an event called Charged-Up Research Day.
The event is focused on Electric-types, allowing players to find and encounter Pokemon like Electrike, Blitzle, and, of course, Pikachu.

Pokemon Go Charged-Up Research Day date & time
Charged-Up Research Day will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2024, from 2 PM to 5 PM local time.
Charged-Up Research Day featured Pokemon & wild encounters
The following Pokemon will be featured during Charged-Up Research Day, appearing in encounters for completing event-themed Field Research tasks:
- Chinchou*
- Electrike*
- Blitzle*
- Joltik*
- Helioptile*
The following Pokemon will appear more frequently in the wild during the event:
- Pikachu*
- Voltorb*
- Plusle*
- Minun*
- Emolga
- Pawmi

Pokemon Go Charged-Up Research Day Timed Research
There will also be a paid Timed Research for Charged-Up Research Day. The ticket will cost $1 (or the local equivalent) and allow players to access exclusive tasks. Completing these will grant players more encounters with the featured Pokemon of their choice.
As with other Timed Research quests, players will have to complete the tasks and claim their rewards by the time Charged-Up Research Day ends. Players can also purchase and gift tickets to those with whom they have a Friendship level of Great Friend or higher.
