Pokemon Go fans already prepping for “difficult” upcoming Primal Kyogre raids
The Pokemon Company / NianticPokemon Go has announced that Primal Kyogre is returning in the World of Wonders season and trainers already getting serious about prepping.
Pokemon Go unveiled the World of Wonders season, which will be the 14th season of the mobile game overall.
Along with returning Mega Raids, World of Wonders will also see the return of Primal Groudon and Kyogre after the duo debuted in February 2023.
Now, fans on social media are already seriously prepping for Primal Kyogre, with some fans swearing it’s the most difficult raid boss currently in Pokemon Go.
Pokemon Go players prep for difficult Primal Kyogre raids
A post on the PokemonGoFriends subreddit sparked a discussion among fans after one user named Analogue23 made a PSA post titled, “PSA Start Preparing For Primal Kyogre Now.”
In the thread, the trainer noted that Primal Kyogre would return on March 17, 2024, and called it, “probably the most difficult raid boss in the game.”
“You will likely have your Pokémon wiped out several times per raid so now is a good time to stock up on potions and revives in preparation so you don’t run out,” they continued. “I’d also really like to encourage everyone to look up some top counters and build the best team you can within your means.
While some fans may think this level of prep is unwarranted, Primal Kyogre raids are no joke. During its debut last year, players were in an uproar after others continuously abandoned these raids partially because of just how difficult they were.
Others in the comments offered their own preparation advice ahead of time. “Mega Sceptile at the start of this month. Stock up, it’s a great counter.”
Mega Sceptile returns as a featured Mega Raid from March 1, 2024, until March 14, 2024, so it would serve as a great Pokemon to counter the Primal Water-type.
Trainers have until March 17, 2024, to make their preparations, so hopefully, those looking to take on this Primal beast will be able to make the most of their time.
