Pokemon Go fans praise A Paldean Adventure as “best event in ages”
NianticThe Pokemon Go A Paldean Adventure event is underway, and fans are already calling it the “best event in ages” thanks to the Ultra Unlock bonuses, Golden Pokestops, new Pokemon, and so much more.
2023 has been a tumultuous year for Pokemon Go. From new features rolling out to community outcry, it’s clear Niantic has had its fair share of successes and failures, both through the new features and in recent events.
However, the current A Paldean Adventure event which stars some adorable new Paldea Pokemon and some handy rewards has got players absolutely thrilled, with some calling it “the best thing I’ve seen since I started.”

Posting onto Reddit, one Pokemon Go fan shared their love for the A Paldean Adventure event, explaining how they’ve “played since launch and have missed many things through the years taking breaks.”
When they started playing again five months ago, they managed to reach Level 43. But thanks to the Ultra Unlock bonuses featured in the A Paldean Adventure event – like 4x Catch XP and Stardust – they’re now on their way to reaching Level 50.
They followed up by stating: “This ultra unlock is simply amazing!”
Shortly after, hundreds of players took to the comments to share their love for the recent event. Some explained how they thought “this is a great great great event!” Highlighting the “Really crazy good bonuses” as a key element.
Others shared their love for the new Pokemon, explaining how they “also like having something new to catch,” making it “hands down the best event in ages for me.”
One commenter shared their experience as a veteran player, stating that they’ve “been playing for just over three years and I have to agree. It’s been so fun to have new mons to catch and the added bonuses are amazing!”
While the great bonuses and new Pokemon are certainly a highlight, others are praising Niantic’s inclusion of Golden Pokestops, explaining how they “make restocking on pokeballs incredibly easy,” keeping the fun going for much longer.
Alongside praise for the in-game features, one Trainer shared how “It’s been a while since I’ve seen people play every day at my local park, adding that it’s “been packed all week since this event with POGO players,” proving just how popular the event really is.
It’s clear, that fans are loving the new event, along with its new Pokemon, Ultra Unlock bonuses, and that highly anticipated Special Research quest with the Paldean starters. Even better, there’s more to come with the Ultra Unlock: Paldea event starting on September 10, 2023.
