Pokemon Go player devastated after failing to catch rare legendary Hundo
NianticOne Pokemon Go player has been left devastated after failing to catch a Hundo legendary, sparking debate over whether certain Pokemon have been made far too tricky.
While at its heart, Pokemon is the kind of game where you can sit back and just enjoy what’s in front of you, there’s still an element of technique, skill, and knowledge that comes with filling your Pokedex.
This sentiment also extends into Pokemon Go, particularly through some of its trickier raid battles, and especially through catching those legendary Pokemon after beating them in that raid.
In fact, there’s no guarantee that after you defeat a 5-star boss, that you’ll be able to catch it, which can be pretty frustrating, especially if you’re lucky enough to face either a shiny or a rare and powerful Hundo.

Sharing their devastation on Reddit, one user shared their escaped Landorus, attaching an image of the Hundo’s disappearance.
Many offered their sympathies in the comments, with one reasoning how “Tbf, it’s actually really hard to catch. With its incessant side-to-side movement and its too close to do a full throw” meaning the Pokemon is tricky enough to catch on its own, let alone the added challenge of it being legendary.
However, others were quick to share their similar frustrations: “Tried two encounters today and lost both” explained one user, with another highlighting how the “last 3 legendary raids I did, they ran. All hits, mostly excellent throws. F**k that.”
It seems the frustrations are increasing, with many calling the catch one of “the most frustrating moments in the game” and labeling it a “horrible game design.”
Other fans took to the comments to share their failed attempts: “I’m so fucking frustrated. I’ve failed 4 times to catch him. That’s like 50 f*****g attempts. No other raid boss has ever been this bad for me.”
While it’s certainly frustrating to see a player lose out on a Hundo legendary like Landorus, it’s clear their far from alone in this tricky raid.
