Some veteran Pokemon Go players are comparing their biggest regrets from the mobile game, and learning some of the worst mistakes on display here may help you in the future.

If you’re a Pokemon fan who has been playing Pokemon Go since the very beginning, chances are you’ve done something you might regret. Whether it’s transferring a powerful Pocket Monster, or missing out on Community Days, there’s so much to learn, and get wrong, in Pokemon Go.

Thankfully, a lot of other people have made mistakes in the game, and are here to share their experiences. So whether you’re a new player or one who has been here since the very beginning, anyone interested in Pokemon Go stands to learn something from other’s mistakes.

Pokemon Go players share their biggest regrets after years of play

As shared in a Reddit post by a Pokemon Go player called u/tog620, they ask the question, “What’s the worst mistake you have made before you knew better?” Then, sharing their own, they display a purified 4* Mewtwo, with the words, “Here is mine. At least he’s cheaper to level.”

Plenty of other Pokemon Go players are piling into the comments, sharing their own stories and regrets, with one comment saying, “For 3 years I kept only the highest CP mon and sent the rest to the grinder without ever appraising them.”

Another person comments with their regret, adding, “I accidentally evolved a shiny Cleffa.” Then, another comment below backs them up, saying, “Shiny bonsly, here. I feel you.”

A common theme seems to be people transferring 4* Pokemon, which are Pokemon with the highest stats possible in the game. A comment says, “Transferring 4*’s luckily they were only Grimer, Sunkern, Fomantis, and Barboach. Still sucks though.”

Sadly, it seems that Legendary Pokemon aren’t even safe, as a particularly sad comment describes, “Wasn’t me, but my friend transferred a Cosmoem because he didn’t know it was a legendary. He spammed past the “Are you sure you want to transfer a legendary Pokémon?” Warning message.”

It’s worth checking out the full thread to learn even more small mistakes to avoid, but one thing is for sure, always appraise your Pokemon before you transfer them. 4* Pocket Monsters are rarer than a Shiny.
