Pokemon Go players conflicted as one Shiny Mon’s color divides the community
The Pokemon CompanyPokemon Go fans were left divided over one monster’s Shiny coloration after a fan shared two separate opinions on the shade of Throh’s judogi.
There’s nothing that quite compares to the thrill of finding a wild Shiny Pokemon, whether it be in the mainline games or in Pokemon Go.
These rare monsters sparkle and have different coloration compared to their standard counterparts. While some Shiny forms are underwhelming to look at, others have vastly different color shades to make them distinct.
However, members of the Pokemon Go community were split on the distinct shade of Shiny Throh’s judogi after one fan recounted a debate they had with their partner.
Pokemon Go fans debate Shiny Throh’s judogi coloration
A post on the Pokemon Go subreddit gained traction after one fan asked the community: “Please – What colour is shiny Throh’s robe?”
The thread included a screenshot of the Shiny Throh, which sports a burnt orange skin coloration and a judogi that is certainly not white.
The OP explained, “My boyfriend is insisting that it’s white/yellowy-blue (???) but I am of the firm belief that that mf’in robe is MINT GREEN.”
Plenty of fans were split in the comments, with some agreeing it was indeed mint green, while others were not so sure.
“Idk I think ppl who are saying it’s mint green are being influenced by the background,” said one fan. “I feel like it’s meant to just be an off-white color.”
Others quickly drew parallels to the viral phenomenon in 2015 sparked by ‘The Dress,’ which led to a mass debate over whether a photographed dress appeared to be black and blue or white and gold.’
“Gold and white,” joked one fan, while another said, “Oh my god, the gold and blue dress strikes again.”
While the majority of the comments seem to land on mint green, the debate continues to rage on. Perhaps the true color of Shiny Throh’s gi is simply in the eye of the beholder.
