Pokemon Go fans are discussing the various Shinies that they refuse to evolve when found.

It is the dream of every Pokemon trainer to find as many Shiny versions of their favorite creatures to collect.

These rare versions are very much sought after by every serious trainer in the game and will function similarly to any normal Pokemon.

However, some players are revealing that there are certain Shiny Pokemon they refuse to evolve at any point due to a variety of reasons.

Pokemon GO fans won’t evolve certain Shinies

In a post on the Pokemon GO subreddit, a player made a post to ask the community, “Does anyone else refuse to evolve certain shiny Pokémon?”

Their post shows a Shiny Oddish that they have in their collection, and they explain there is something cute about the unevolved versions of many Shiny Pokemon, causing them to not evolve them at all.

There are plenty of members in the community who agree with this sentiment, as the top comment says: “I’m the same way. I won’t evolve a shiny Pokémon unless I have two of them. Because I like having one of each evolution.”

While some of these users share the love of how cute the Shiny Pokemon are, others do it strictly for collection’s sake.

“I never evolve a shiny until I get another, exception if it’s a useful mon.”

It can also come down to the design of certain evolved Shinies, as one player mentions they keep their Dragonair from changing to Dragonite because they “don’t want a vomit green dragonite.”

The most serious of Pokemon GO players are all about finishing that Pokedex, and keeping a base Shiny is just one way that they choose to do so.
