Pokemon Go players slam “Huge L” Sinnoh Tour as Niantic confirms Legendary catches
The Pokemon CompanyPokemon Go fans are riled up yet again, as it has been revealed that the upcoming Sinnoh Tour won’t feature several key Legendary & Mythical Pokemon from the Sinnoh region.
The Sinnoh region from Pokemon Diamond & Pearl was notable for the sheer number of Legendary & Mythical Pokemon it introduced to the series, with nine new Legendaries and five new Mythicals to bloat the special roster.
This abundance of rare Pokemon would eventually benefit Pokemon Go, as it meant that these special ‘mons could be doled out at a slow rate as part of many different events. This means a ton of content, as Pokemon Go fans love Legendary Pokemon events.
There are still several Legendary & Mythical Pokemon missing from Pokemon Go, but fans had hoped this would change soon. The Pokemon Go Tour: Sinnoh event promises to bring in creatures like Origin Forme Dialga & Palkia, but it won’t bring in everything that fans want.
Pokemon Go’s Sinnoh Tour is missing Sinnoh Legendaries
The Pokemon Go Live events team told Dot Esports that Arceus, Manaphy, and Phione won’t be part of the Go Tour: Sinnoh event. “All three of these Pokemon are indeed extra special,” the spokesperson said, “and we wanted to give them some dedicated space when they eventually make their Pokemon Go debut.”
Fans have since shared their displeasure at the news with comments on the Pokemon Go Hub Twitter/X account slamming the developers for leaving out such important Pokemon.
“It’s such an easy thing to add…,” one fan lamented, “For them to fail SO hard. They already screwed up Ninjask, just let us catch Manaphy and give us the Phione egg. Do not… I repeat DO NOT put 18 different Arceus into elite raids.”
“Well duh that’s 3 more paid events they have now,” one user said, while another wrote, “They honestly should have waited to do a Sinnoh tour and do a re-run of the Kanto tour.”
It’s disappointing, but not unsurprising, to see several important Pokemon being kept out of the Sinnoh Tour, especially as they have yet to debut in Pokemon Go officially. Arceus, in particular, is a beloved Pokemon, and its various forms mean that it could be the focus of an entire event.
At least fans will have the chance to catch the new Origin Forme Dialga and Palkia introduced in the Hisui region of Pokemon Legends: Arceus, both of which promise to be incredibly powerful ‘mons, even if they can’t quite match up to the might of the creator deity itself.
