Some Pokemon Go features are simply more popular than others and players took to social media lately to share their frustration with one key Battle League feature.

If you’re involved with the Pokemon Go community at all, you’ll know that some of the Battle League features are much more popular than others. The community is active, after all, and they’re not shy about voicing their concerns if a feature feels stale or pointless.

Pokemon Go fans took to social media lately to discuss their least favorite Battle League feature and why they think it should be taken out of the game entirely.

Pokemon Go fans insist Catch Cup needs to go

Appearing in a Reddit post, Pokemon Go player RecentIntroduction32 shared their frustrations with the other players – and received a mixed response in return.

RecentIntroduction32 noted how they felt that the only point of the Catch Cup was “to waste Stardust” and queried why they should “waste it building Pokemon that I’ve already built, or will never use again”, before stating that a lot of people would likely skip this week.

A handful of Pokemon Go players in the thread agreed, with one person noting that “if I thought I could run a viable team I might try it, but I hate it.”

However, some players disagreed with the sentiment, arguing that it leveled the playing field for fans who hadn’t been in the game that long. Also, one person pointed out that they have almost 6 million Stardust and that they “don’t mind spending half a million to advance.”

The Catch Cup may be divisive among the community, but one of the best things about it is that it allows people to experiment with new mons, even if it does use up a lot of resources.
