Pokemon Go Rivals Week 2024 Timed Research tasks & rewards

Pokemon Go trainers will need to be on the lookout for Fighting-type Pokemon, in order to complete the Rivals Week 2024 Timed Research challenge.

On May 4, Niantic kicked off the Pokemon Go Rivals Week 2024 event. As the name implies, the event will have a keen focus on well-known Pokemon that are considered rivals of one another, including Sawk and Throh, and Zangoose and Seviper.

Additionally, Niantic released a special Timed Research challenge that will be available during the event. Those who complete it will not only be able to encounter Pokemon featured during Rivals Week, but also obtain Rare Candy and Fast TMs.

Pokemon Go Rivals Week 2024 Timed Research tasks

Thanks to Leek Duck, here are the Rivals Week 2024 Timed Research tasks:

Step 1 of 1

• Catch 15 Fighting-type Pokemon – Mankey encounter
• Power up 15 Fighting-type Pokemon – Machop encounter
• Earn 10,000 Stardust – Gligar encounter
• Earn 20,000 XP – Alolan Sandshrew encounter
• Win three Raids – Throh encounter
• Battle in the Go Battle League five times – Sawk encounter

Rewards: Fast TM x2, Rare Candy x3, 5000 XP

Many different Fighting-type Pokemon are set to spawn more frequently during Rivals Week, such as Mankey, Sawk, and Throh.

That should help with obtaining Stardust and Candies that can be used to power up and evolve Pokemon during Rivals Week.

This Timed Research will be available throughout the event, which will run from Saturday, May 4 at 10 a.m. local time through Thursday, May 9 at 8 p.m. local time.
