Pokemon Go Shadow Suicune Raid guide: Weaknesses & best counters
NIANTIC/DEXERTOPokemon Go is headlining Shadow Suicune during the November Shadow Raid weekends, so learn all you need, including what Pokemon are the best counters against the Shadow Legendary.
The Max Out season has featured several Legendaries during Raids, and Shadow Suicune is getting its turn in the spotlight in November 2024.
While Shadow Suicune may not be the most powerful Water-type Pokemon available, it can still pack a punch given its stature and attributes. So, check out some of our recommended counters to target its weaknesses and defeat it in a beat.
Shadow Suicune weaknesses in Pokemon Go
As a pure Water-type Pokemon, Shadow Suicune is weak to Grass-type and Electric-type attacks, so you should focus on those two while building your ideal team.
On the other hand, avoid at all costs taking Fire, Ice, Steel, and Water-type Pokemon to the battle arena as they won’t deal much damage to your Legendary Shadow opponent.

How to get Shadow Suicune in Pokemon Go
The only way players can get Shadow Suicune in Pokemon Go is through Shadow Raids. First, trainers must defeat the Legendary creature in a 5-Star Shadow Raid, and then capture it using the Premier Balls given after the encounter.
Luckily, the recent Raid rotations brought Shadow Suicune back for every November weekend, so players will have plenty of chances to catch one.
Can Shadow Suicune be Shiny?
Yes, the Shiny version of Shadow Suicune is currently available in Pokemon Go. If you’re lucky, you could encounter one during its time as a Shadow Raid Boss.
Shiny Shadow Suicune was introduced in May 2024. However, players will have to pay extra attention as the differences between the regular and Shiny versions are not that notorious. The key feature of Shiny Shadow Suicune is the electric blue mane which is usually purple.
