While Pokemon Scarlet and Violet seem to be winding down, there is still plenty of time before the next generation, so fans are clamoring for the return of one feature to keep the games alive.

It might be hard to believe, but Pokemon Scarlet & Violet are now well over a year old, even though subsequent updates like Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: The Indigo Disk and the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Epilogue have added some much-appreciated longevity.

Still, Pokemon fans don’t often rest on their laurels, and with the future of the franchise shrouded in mist as if we’re trying to walk through a Gastly, some players are calling for some additions to Paldea to keep the game alive for the foreseeable.

Eager Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players want Legendary raids

As shared in a Reddit post by one Pokemon Scarlet & Violet player called B0SS_Zombie, the trainer is calling for the return of Legendary Pokemon to the Tera Raid dens, much like the previous inclusion of Pokemon like Dialga and Palkia.

They back it up with some evidence as well, as they point out that the game includes plenty of Legendary Pokemon that can be transferred into the games, but cannot be caught, suggesting it would be easy for Game Freak to release them as Raid Den bosses in the future.

Many fans agree this would help with the long wait for Generation 10, with one comment saying, “They’ve gotta pad out the next two years somehow.”

Some fans also think it would dovetail nicely after the inclusion of certain Pokemon in the recent DLC, as one comment says, “I’d be more surprised if we DON’T get a Calyrex raid at some point down the line. Both horses can be captured in SV if you have the DLC, but Calyrex remains transfer-only for now.”

One element of the Pokemon that would benefit from more Legendary raids, are trainers missing the Mythical or otherwise rare Pokemon only available in 3DS titles like Pokemon X & Y, or Pokemon Sun & Moon, especially as online services are soon to end for the Nintendo 3DS.

As one player explains, “I also hope for this… but if it happens, they should also keep having mystery gift events for old mythicals. It would definitely help if Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter eventually shut down.”

While it’s clear players have plenty of time between now and the next mainline Pokemon games, hopefully, Game Freak does keep coming back to Paldea, and adding some fun new ways to help fill every player’s Pokedex and to tide Pokemon fans over until the next adventure.
