Pokemon TCG Mask of Change set: Release date, contents, & everything we know

Mask of Change, also known as Transformation Mask, is an exciting Pokemon TCG set that heavily features Ogerpon and the Loyal Three. There’s a good mix of cards for both art collectors and competitive players, and it’s worth checking out if you haven’t already.

This expansion set came out just before Twilight Masquerade did, and it’s heavily tied to other sets that are due later in 2024 – like Night Wanderer and Shrouded Fable. There are plenty of cards to keep an eye on from Mask of Change that hold the potential to stack up in value.

When did Mask of Change come out?

The Pokemon TCG: Mask of Change expansion set came out in Japan on April 26, 2024. The set was accompanied by the release of an Ogerpon deck box and decorated card sleeves.

Mask of Change heavily features fan-favorite Pokemon Ogerpon, with its wide variety of Masks and unique Abilities. There’s the potential for some truly creative deck-building with this set, mainly thanks to the striking differences between the Ogerpon ex cards.

There are other incredible Pokemon to keep an eye out for too, including the Loyal Three – Munkidori, Okidogi, and Fezandipti.

While Mask of Change undoubtedly has some heavy-hitting cards, this is also a great set for art collectors. The card artwork is ridiculously cool and shows off new aspects of underappreciated ‘mons like Chimecho and Wattrel.

Pokemon TCG: Mask of Change Special Jumbo card set contents

As a follow up to the Mask of Change expansion set, fans were treated to a Special Jumbo Card Set starring Ogerpon which came out in Japan on May 17, 2024.

There are a handful of incredible Ogerpon-themed cards in this set, with one promo card that caused an absolute uproar when it was revealed on social media. To be more specific, the Special Jumbo Card Set includes:

• A regular Ogerpon promo
• A Mask promo
• 8 Mask of Change Booster Packs
