Pokemon TCG player stunned at “frustrating” argument with reseller
The Pokemon CompanyIt’s always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to buying Pokemon cards online, but it can lead to some tricky conversations as one Pokemon fan found out.
Buying Pokemon cards online can be tricky. It’s important to double-check the seller’s reviews, pay attention to the images, and read the description carefully.
It can also be difficult to sell Pokemon cards online, though. One recent dispute was shared to r/PokemonTCG by a stunned buyer and it caused a lot of debate in the community.
Pokemon TCG players split on reseller argument
Originally shared in this post, Pokemon TCG player Turbulent_Orange8942 found themselves baffled after a conversation with a card seller.
In the screenshot, Turbulent_Orange8942 can be seen asking the seller about a Wartortle card and whether it’s “near mint” or not. They then asked a further question about the card, leading to the seller getting frustrated and refusing to deal with “someone so particular”.
Turbulent_Orange8942 took to Reddit to ask fellow fans whether they were in the wrong or not, noting that they were blocked after the final message.
The other Pokemon TCG players in the comments were divided on the matter. Some felt that Turbulent_Orange8942 was well within their rights to ask questions about the card, with one player assuring them “no you’re not in the wrong”.
Some readers felt torn between the two sides, with one person noting that “no one is wrong here. Both have different perspectives” before suggesting that they should’ve gotten to the point and asked for some more pictures.
A handful of readers took the seller’s side, though, with one person saying “I personally think people like you shouldn’t be buying cards online. If you want it mint, buy graded.”
