Pokemon TCG players love ‘overkill’ shipping method
The Pokemon CompanyA Pokemon TCG player has shared their extra-cautious shipping method to get cards sent out safely – and the other fans in the comments loved it, even if it is “overkill”.
Buying Pokemon cards online can always be a bit of a gamble, as you never know what condition your new pieces are going to arrive in.
Some card sellers use padded wallets, some use protective cases, and others simply pick up an envelope and hope for the best. If you want to protect your Pokemon TCG pulls, there are a lot of ways to keep things safe.
One collector, however, has gone above and beyond while trying to look after their card and other fans love the extreme methods taken.
Pokemon TCG seller shows solid shipping set-up
A Pokemon TCG collector called u/Ejm819 has shared a post to Reddit, and put others to shame today by sharing a photo of their most recent shipping set-up, complete with a sturdy Slab-safe case and padding.
Ejm819 posted the pictures, saying, “is this overkill for shipping?” But then ended up receiving a supportive response from the other Pokemon TCG players in the Subreddit.
One player responded that it probably was overkill but if they were the buyer, they’d be “delighted”.
Other readers agreed that it may be a little much, but that it’s a worthwhile move if it’s doable – especially for higher-end cards.
A comment adds, “Idk man but that case is dope lol. I’d deff be impressed if it got something like that from a seller and most likely be a returned customer.”
The card shown in the example photos isn’t the rarest card around, but it’s a very popular one and has been graded to a 9.5 which is clearly worth protecting.
Another reader shared a story about buying cards off of eBay and getting a free illustration rare in their delivery, which led to them saving the buyer’s details for future purchases. They noted “small things like that will keep people coming back” which is golden advice for Pokemon TCG sellers.
