Pokemon TCG players slam “terrible” Paldean Fates pulls
The Pokemon CompanySometimes, luck just isn’t on your side. One Pokemon TCG player took to social media lately to share their “terrible” luck with opening Paldean Fates Elite Trainer Boxes.
Opening an Elite Trainer Box should, in theory, be a really exciting moment for a Pokemon fan. They’re premium items that come with heaps of brilliant Pokemon TCG accessories and they tend to contain at least a handful of solid pulls.
That’s not always the case though, unfortunately. One unlucky Pokemon TCG player took to r/PokemonTCG to share their misfortune with Paldean Fates ETB pulls – and a large number of other players felt their pain.
Pokemon TCG players find seemingly infinite Pawmi card source
Originally popping up in this Reddit post, a Pokemon TCG player shared a snap of their ETB haul with the caption “2 ETBS. STOP IT”. In the image, 5 of the exact same Pawmi full art card can be seen.
Other Pokemon TCG fans seem to have found endless Pawmi cards in their own ETBs too, with one person sharing that they “opened 20 etbs and each etb had at least 2” leaving them with 34 copies. They joked about using the Pawmi card as a coaster, too.
One player commented about how they’d opened 5 booster bundles with their daughter and her friends. They made a somewhat prophetic joke about how they’d end up pulling one for each child and the binder too (3 in total) before pulling the exact number needed.
Some TCG fans in the replies were equally upset about the pull rates in Paldean Fates, with some bringing up the somewhat divisive topic of batching.
One player commented “The batching seems terrible with this set.” Fans seemed to agree with the sentiment, with another saying, “I’ve resorted to buying the last cards I need for my master off of eBay, the pull rates are just so janky with this set lol”.
While the Paldean Fates artwork seems to have gone down well with the community, the pull rates and rarity levels seem to be much less popular.
