Twitch star Tim ‘TimTheTatman’ Betar was left speechless when he pulled an extremely rare Pokemon card on stream. The insane find sent his chat wild as it’s worth an eye-popping amount.

Ever since it’s 1996 debut in Japan, the Pokemon Trading Card Game has sparked an absolute frenzy among players looking for the rarest of rare pieces to add to their collection.

However during his February 28 broadcast, Twitch personality TimTheTatman found the holy grail of cards and was left stunned. The rare item can sometimes fetch for hundreds of dollars.

Pokemon’s Trading Card Game has proven to be just as popular as other games in the franchise.

The Twitch streamer was in the middle of a broadcast when he decided to open up Pokemon booster packs for his viewers. The personality had bought countless packs from the Sun & Moon Hidden Fates set.

After spending an hour tearing open packages, he finally stumbled upon an ultra rare card. “Hold on a minute! Did you see it?” he asked his viewers, before slowly revealing a shiny Charizard GX holographic.

Stunned, he exclaimed, “Oh my gosh! Oh my!” before setting the card on his table. “No way. No way. That’s it! That’s it, right!?” he asked his chat. After viewers confirmed, it he screamed, “WHAT!? LET’S GO DUDE! OH MY GOSH! I can’t believe it. I can’t believe it, dude!”

The streamer admitted that he had pulled the rare item after having bought 125 packs. While that may seem a lot to most, the Twitch star explained that he had seen other YouTube collectors have to open over 1k packs before finding the card.

The SV49 Holographic card can sell from anywhere from $200-300 ungraded. However depending on the condition, a good rating could push the item’s value up for as high as $500. When the set originally released in 2019, one of them sold for a mind blowing $10,000 on eBay.

A perfectly rated Shiny Charizard sold for over 10k in 2019.

One of Tim’s viewers informed the streamer that a donation during Dr Disrespect’s broadcast claimed they were “concerned” for him since he was opening Pokemon cards. Tim hilariously replied “Don’t worry about me, dude. I’m just out here pulling shiny Charizards!”

TimTheTatman first caught the Pokemon Trading Card bug on February 22, when he announced on Twitter, “Ok I got like 50 Pokémon packs I’m gonna open on stream today.”

Perhaps the streamer will continue to do more broadcasts based around the trading cards as they have been wildly successful so far. And after finding such a rare find, it would be hard for anyone to stop.
