Ubisoft Announces Rainbow Six Siege US Nationals Program
Ubisoft has unveiled a brand new esports program, the US Nationals, designed to bring together the best players in the US.
The tournament will begin on July 14th, starting with online tournaments every Saturday, and will feature $50,000 worth of prizes for the winning rosters.
Teams will be divided into East and Wester conferences, with any squad being able to register and enter the Saturday tournaments, until there are just two top teams from each conference.
After the qualifiers, the four rosters will compete in the Stage Finals, where they’ll play intra-conference matches to pick Eastern and Western champions, who will then compete to determine the final Stage Champion.
The program will have three Stage Finals between July and October to find the top three teams in the East and West conferences.
These six teams will join a wildcard team from each conference to compete in an eight-team National Finals tournament in December.
In a statement, Ubisoft’s Esports Associate Director, Robb Chiarini, said:
“The phenomenon that is Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege esports has been truly amazing to witness firsthand. With the US Nationals, we have entered into a new and exciting time for our community’s growth. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive esports ecosystem that offers our players and ever-growing community opportunities to participate, watch and aspire to. The US Nationals expands this initiative by offering another layer of activity for all players across the United States.”
Players with a ready squad can sign up for the weekly Saturday tournaments already by visiting the Rainbow Six Siege website.
