Tim Malcolm takes Louisa on a tense double date with his ex Veronica Rodriguez and her boyfriend Jamal after their feud the previous night.

Veronica Rodriguez’s boyfriend Jamal Menzies is visiting her in Charlotte, North Carolina on 90 Day: The Single Life, and he’s not getting along with her ex, Tim Malcolm.

During a night out, Tim and Jamal had a heated argument about whether Jamal is the right person for Veronica.

The feud took a turn when Jamal brought up Tim parenting Veronica’s 16-year-old daughter Chloe Sanchez, and Tim felt that he crossed a line.

Now, Veronica is put in the middle of her ex-boyfriend Tim who she considers to be her best friend, and her new boyfriend Jamal, a man she could possibly see a future with.

Tim doesn’t want to talk to Jamal in front of Louisa

In a clip from the upcoming episode of 90 Day: The Single Life posted by ET, Veronica and Jamal go on a pickleball double date with Tim and his new love interest, Louisa.

The date took place the morning after after Tim and Jamal’s argument.

“I can definitely feel some tension with Jamal, you know, Jamal really pissed me off last night,” Tim said. “But I don’t really have a need to talk with Jamal about last night, especially in front of Louisa.”

Tim became competitive throughout the pickleball match, and was hoping to beat Jamal to get back at him.

On last season of 90 Day: The Single Life, Veronica faced the same problem with her ex Justin Foster whenhe admitted he didn’t accept her being friends with Tim.

However, he later revealed that he was also friendly with his ex, and was moving to Florida to live closer to her.

Veronica and Tim’s friendship may seem unusual to someone like Jamal because they still co-parent Veronica’s teenage daughter and are best friends.

It’s very rare for viewers to see exes to remain close after a breakup, but Veronica and Tim are trying to make it work while pursuing their own separate relationships.

90 Day: The Single Life airs Mondays at 8:00 p.m. ET on TLC.
