Bachelor fan predicts why Canadian flag was blurred out in premiere episode

Joey Graziadei greeted 32 women at the mansion during The Bachelor Season 28 premiere episode, and witnessed many interesting limo entrances.
One Season 28 contestant who made a statement was Maria Georgas, an Executive Assistant from Ontario, Canada.
When Maria met Joey for the first time, she had a special gift and handed him a small Canadian flag to represent her country.
However, Bachelor producers blurred out the image of the flag on the show, prompting confusion among fans.
Bachelor fan says Canadian flag needs approval
On Instagram, a Bachelor fan posted a screenshot of Joey from the episode with the Canadian flag blurred out and wrote, “Anyone notice this?”
While most of the comments on the post were jokes, one fan responded and said, “I’ve worked in CA advertising for almost 10 years… it takes weeks to get approval on CA flags from the CA gov.”
They continued, “Time that Bachelor producers don’t have, because they move quick in editing. Also if flag proportions are even a little off they won’t get clearance, so good chance a small cheap flag like that didn’t get cleared.”
Since The Bachelor is a popular reality show that airs multiple franchise seasons within a year, the production team works hard to get episodes released quickly.
Bachelor fans believe that the producers don’t spend a lot of time focusing on editing, and will do whatever it takes to make the show more dramatic than it really is.
On the show, a detail as simple as blurring a flag will cause fans to wonder if the producers have ulterior motives, when that may not be the case at all.
The Bachelor season 28 airs Mondays at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
