Below Deck fans call Season 11 “boring” without MVPs Captain Lee & Kate
Bravo TVBelow Deck Season 11 is the first one to air without Captain Lee Rosbach, and fans miss seeing him on the show with former Chief Stew, Kate Chastain.
Below Deck returned for Season 11 with Captain Kerry Titheradge replacing Captain Lee Rosbach, which is a first on the original series.
Captain Kerry joins former cast members Fraser Olender and Ben Willoughby, along with seven new yachties during the charter season on the St. David.
Captain Lee was on Below Deck from the beginning, while his friend and long-time Chief Stew Kate Chastain starred in Seasons 2 through 7.
Kate left the show on her own terms, but Captain Lee wasn’t asked back after going on a temporary leave for an injury last season.
Bravo fans believe Captain Lee & Kate made Below Deck a “hit”
Below Deck fans admitted they were unimpressed by the Season 11 premiere on X, and are upset that Captain Lee and Kate aren’t on the show anymore.
“These two are the MVPs of Below Deck. They are the reason the franchise became a hit. There will never be another duo like them. When Kate left, Captain Lee kept the franchise on top. It’s still shocking Bravo let him go,” one fan wrote.
“I couldn’t even get through last night’s episode, another fan added.
A third fan agreed and said, “I just cannot stand this new below deck I will watch re runs of below deck with capt lee and Kate all day before this. so boring . cannot even follow it. I tried twice! nope!”
Even though Captain Sandy Yawn took over for Captain Lee last season, fans were still shocked when they found out he would be replaced by Captain Kerry.
He has moved onto other projects, and hosts a series with Kate called Couch Talk with Captain Lee and Kate, where the duo weighs in on other Bravo shows.
Kate appeared as a cast member on The Traitors Seasons 1 and 2, and welcomed her son Sullivan Cay last year.
Captain Lee and Kate are no longer on Below Deck, but fans can’t help but think of them every time they watch the show.
Below Deck airs Mondays at 9:00 p.m. ET on Bravo.
