Below Deck fans excited as former Captain Lee gets brand-new series
Instagram: abovedeckpodAfter being kicked off of Below Deck, Captain Lee Rosbach is back on the water, but this time it involves murder.
Even though he is considered the OG captain of the Below Deck franchise, Lee was let go from his iconic role. Additionally, he wasn’t invited to return for Season 11.
Since his unexpected departure, he appeared on Bravo’s Couch Talk with Captain Lee & Kate instead. The series ultimately didn’t get rave reviews from viewers.
While it’s still unknown whether or not Couch Talk will be getting a second series, Lee is already on to the next venture, and it’s on another network.
Does Below Deck’s Captain Lee have a new show?
On January 10, Deadline announced that Captain Lee will star in the new Oxygen series Deadly Waters.
The outlet describes the show as the reality TV star looking into murders that have taken place in water. Oxygen has not revealed a release date at the time of writing.
Nonetheless, BD fans instantly took to Reddit to share their excitement for Lee’s new role.
One fan wrote, “Good for him, he has such a way about him. I could listen to him read the phone book..”
Another fan chimed in and wrote, “I think this could be really good, I suppose it does actually depend on how involved he is in it with all of his health issues, could be anything from a simple voice over to actually being on location. I will definitely check it out, hope he has been working on some new one liners.”
None of his former BD co-stars have reacted to his new series as of yet. Season 11 of Below Deck, the first season without Lee, is set to premiere on February 5, with Below Deck Adventure’s Captain Kerry Titheradge as his replacement.
