Captain Sandy Yawn changed the yacht’s provisioning company after a difficult first charter on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9.

During the first charter on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9, the crew had issues when the yacht’s provisioning company delayed food and drink items, with some not arriving at all.

Captain Sandy Yawn even told deckhands Joe Bradley and Nathan Gallagher to ask the neighboring boat for rosé, since it was the main item that the guests wanted.

In a teaser for the June 17 episode, the captain takes a step in the right direction by hiring a new provisioning company so the same mistakes don’t happen again.

“Last charter was the worst provisioning experience I’ve ever had in my charter career. So we’re changing provision companies,” she explained.

“I’m normally a three strikes and you’re out kind of captain, but when the first strike is so bad, you’re out.”

Captain Sandy called the new company to send them a big order, and they responded, saying they looked forward to working with her.

She revealed the news to Chief Stew Aesha Scott after she expressed concern and wondered if the crew would be okay with the provisions.

Aesha had her fingers crossed and was hopeful that the next charter would be more reliable so the guests could get everything they requested on their preference sheet.

Below Deck Med Season 9 is only two episodes in, but there was no shortage of drama in addition to the provisions being late.

The charter guests helped second stew Elena make food and drinks when Chef Johnathan Shillingford wouldn’t wake up, and third stew Bri Muller had a difficult time handling the laundry.

With Captain Sandy hiring a new provisioning company to send items, the second charter should run a lot more smoothly for the crew on the Mustique.
