Below Deck: Worst “boatmances” ranked

The love triangle between Daisy, Colin, and Gary from Sailing Yacht isn’t the only complex Below Deck love story.

Even though there have been countless numbers of Below Deck seasons, including the many spin-offs, there has never been a successful couple to stem from the show.

This means that all of the boatmances among the crew members have fallen through the cracks.

Some of those splits were amicable, and others had enough drama to fuel a Vanderpump Rules episode.

The biggest Below Deck franchise breakups

While many of these are the result of love triangles gone awry, some others are monogamous relationships that didn’t work out for a variety of reasons.

Below Deck is no stranger to controversy or romance plots, but these relationships went nowhere, fast.

That being said, here are our top picks on which couples’ breakups were the most shocking (so far).

Dani & Jean-Luc (Sailing Yacht Season 2)

The boatmance that truly takes the cake of the most jaw-dropping was between Dani and Jean-Luc. What started out as a simple love fest between coworkers turned into a pregnancy announcement.

Jean-Luc was revealed to be the father of Dani’s daughter, yet she later hinted that he has since neglected to spend quality time with their child.

Camille & Ben (Below Deck Season 10)

The stewardess and deckhand were inseparable on-screen but the second that the cameras stopped rolling, the two went their separate ways.

At first, it looked as though it was a simple case of being caught up in the moment and realizing that they just weren’t a good fit for each other. But, Ben has accused Camille of cheating on him, causing the downfall of their relationship.

Daisy & Colin & Gary (Sailing Yacht Season 4)

This love triangle lasted the entirety of the fourth season of the show. Daisy and Colin started off strong with a romance that began before the season even started, but then Gary was able to stir Daisy’s head. In the end, the love triangle resulted in a major fallout among the once-unbreakable trio.

Daisy and Colin reunited at BravoCon 2023 and hugged out their differences, but there’s been no update on how Daisy & Gary have been since their chaotic romance.

Tzarina & Joao (Down Under Season 2)

Last, but certainly not least, was the unexpected couple to form from the second season. Despite the fact that Tzarina expressed that Joao had mistreated one of her friends before joining the cast, she formed a relationship anyway and as you can imagine, it did not work out.

Tzarina later took to social media to claim that Joao had completely changed after filming, calling him “manipulative” and “narcissistic”.
