Below Deck’s Fraser Olender addresses feud with former co-star Captain Sandy Yawn
BravoFraser Olender shared an update on his feud with Captain Sandy Yawn that played out on Below Deck Season 10.
Chief Stew Fraser Olender returns for Below Deck Season 11, and is working under Captain Kerry Titheradge from Below Deck Adventure for the first time.
Last season started with Captain Lee Rosbach at the helm, but he took a temporary leave to heal the nerve damage that was in his leg.
Captain Sandy Yawn from Below Deck Mediterranean replaced Captain Lee while he was gone, and didn’t get along with Fraser during her time on the St. David.
Fraser was slammed by Captain Sandy for his poor management style, saying he treated his fellow crew members more like friends than co-workers.
Fraser and Captain Sandy are “all good” now
In an interview with ET, Fraser compared his experience working with Captain Kerry to Captain Lee and Captain Sandy. The Below Deck star revealed where he stands with Sandy after feuding on Season 10.
“I did have a bit of a head bump with Captain Sandy. We’re all good, we’re pals now,” Fraser said.
“Lee taught me a lot, but equally I wouldn’t be where I was today without having filmed such a successful season with Captain Kerry, so I’m grateful for all of their input for sure.”
Although Fraser and Captain Sandy had a difficult season together last year, she ultimately helped shape him into a better Chief Stew.
Fraser learned to be harder on the crew members who worked under him when they misbehaved, especially Camille Lamb and Alissa Humber, who both ended up being fired.
The Below Season 11 cast will bring their own set of challenges. Fraser will have to get used to working with a new captain and interior team, while dealing with many different personalities on board.
Below Deck Season 11 airs Monday, February 5 at 9:00 p.m. ET on Bravo.
