Fans can’t believe it after Everton star’s wife makes “s******g” comment

A new reality series following Premier League footballers in their private lives hit our screens this week.

Married to the Game is a six-part series on Amazon Prime Video that goes behind the scenes with several top-flight players and their partners.

Riyad Mahrez, Ilkay Gundogan and Jorginho are among the footballers to feature in it, while Everton’s James Tarkowski also allowed fans a glimpse into his home life.

And a clip shared by Prime Video on social media shows Tarkowski and wife Sam being asked about their favourite thing to do together.

“What time is this show going out?” Sam responds before laughing. “S*******! Do you not remember when we were younger and we used to get in bed and be like ‘this is my favourite part of the day’. Just getting in bed at the end of the day, just us two… and then s*******! No, I’m joking… but I do quite like it.”

“Take that man to Germany for this alone,” one user responded on Instagram, while another wrote: “Sean Dyche seeing this in a relegation battle”.

There were some comments that suggested Sam’s response was inappropriate but the majority of people took the remark in good spirits.

The series was released on Friday (February 23), with all six episodes available to be viewed straight away.
