Gyu-Ri publicly apologizes for her behavior on Single’s Inferno 3 after backlash
NetflixKim Gyu-Ri received tons of backlash for her behavior after the finale of Single’s Inferno 3. However, the reality star realized her mistakes and stepped up to publicly apologize.
Gyu-Ri was the first contestant to walk down the inferno stairs and be introduced to the viewers. Fans were smitten with the reality star after her first women’s game, where she defeated Choi Hye-Seon while wearing a calm smile on her face. People complimented her grace and competitiveness.
On the show, Gyu-Ri showed interest in Choi Min-Woo, however, he already had feelings for Yun Si-Eun. When Min-Woo rejected Gyu-Ri during a polite and private conversation she reacted in the worst way possible.
Fans were left unsettled after seeing Gyu-Ri that way and called her out for being ‘childish’. Similarly, even the hosts gave her harsh criticism for disrespecting Min-Woo.
What did Gyu-Ri say in her apology?
Gyu-Ri posted an apology letter on her Instagram story where she reflected on her behavior. She admitted that she made a mistake and was careless with her words. She expressed embarrassment for not being able to control her emotions well.
She wrote, “I was fraught with many different emotions that I was experiencing for the first time and was also reaching extreme limits in terms of my physical health. I was also disappointed in myself for saying something I didn’t mean. As all of these became convoluted, I was unable to maturely control my emotions.”
Gyu-Ri mentioned that she apologized to Min-Woo and Si-Eun in person after the filming of Single’s Inferno 3 ended. The pair was not only understanding but instead more worried about Gyu-Ri’s condition during their meeting.
The reality TV star said, “I deeply apologize again to the many fans who treasured Si Eun and Min Woo, and to the viewers who have loved Single’s Inferno, for upsetting you with how I appeared on the show. I will look back on myself and deeply reflect on myself using this matter, and grow to become a better person, taking this opportunity to make the effort until I become a more mature person.”
All three seasons of Single’s Inferno are available for streaming on Netflix.
