Love Is Blind fans convinced production purposely hires contestants who cause drama
Do Love Is Blind contestants go on the popular Netflix show to find love or to gain fame overnight? Viewers say it’s more of the latter.
The purpose of the Love Is Blind experiment is for a group of singles to enter the pods and test whether or not they can really love someone sight unseen. In order to be on the show, prospective contestants have to apply. Then, the casting department goes through the applications to choose the right people.
Several happy couples have been produced as a result of the series and its ever-growing number of spin-offs, but it isn’t a high percentage when you factor in the number of contestants.
Now, it makes sense that not everyone would come out of the pods and tie the knot. For some, the process could feel too quick to enter a marriage, and others might not have found their true love during the experiment.
However, if you the viewers, the main reason the odds for love on the show are so slim is because of the fame-seeking stars.
Love Is Blind fans are mad at production
On February 9, LIB viewers took to Reddit to accuse Netflix & the production team behind the series (Kinetic Content) of not hiring the right people for the series on purpose.
One fan wrote, “In the US, Producers seek influencers who will bring drama and trauma. Like Shane, Shake, Bartise, Irina, Izzy, and Jacquline. People who are not marriage material, mature, or mentally stable in most cases.”
Another fan chimed in and wrote, “Maybe if Netflix would be willing to sacrifice a portion of the ratings they would pick more authentic candidates. But it’s their choice!”
Season 6 premiers on Valentine’s Day, and hopefully, some of the contestants will be able to change fans’ minds.
